With the approval from the major department, students registered in a major may declare for an option under their major. Successful completion of program option will be recorded on the academic transcript.
In general, to have the completion of program option recorded on the academic transcript, students should submit the Application for an Option under Major Program (Form RR-48) no later than the last day of add/drop period in the final regular term of study. The same form is used for students who apply for withdrawal of program option.

Notes:
The above schedule of effective term also applies to the withdrawal of program option. Final year students who wish to declare a program option should note that 'final year' means the final year of study within the normal duration of study. The extended regular term(s) is not regarded as within the normal duration.
