Quality Assurance can be defined as the systems and processes by which a university assures itself that its educational provision is of high quality and academic standards, and that students are provided with a quality learning experience and environment that supports students’ achievement of course and program intended learning outcomes.

Quality Enhancement can be defined as the processes by which a higher education provider systematically improves the quality of provision and the ways in which students' learning is supported.
