Students are encouraged to actively contribute to the university community by expressing their views and suggestions regarding the quality of teaching, courses, programs, and the overall learning environment at HKUST. While various effective channels are available at the school and department levels—such as direct communication with teaching staff, Student-Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs), other committees with student representation, questionnaires, surveys, and focus group meetings—the university has also introduced a centrally-managed platform since 2014. This platform serves as an additional means to obtain student feedback, supplementing the numerous channels available at the university, school, department, and program levels.
In 2022, this facility was revamped and renamed from the "Student Feedback Button" to the “One-Stop Feedback Form”. This update includes an enhanced automatic channeling service that forwards feedback and inquiries to the most relevant units or course instructors, while also copying the relevant schools for timely responses.
The usage of this facility is monitored, with feedback figures and categories reported to the Committee on Teaching and Learning Quality for review and analysis.
